How to add a remote computer to your address book

Iperius Remote Desktop is one of the best software for remote access and to control a computer remotely. It supports Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and has advanced features that make it an excellent tool for companies that provide remote technical assistance services for their customers.

One of the most useful features of Iperius is the address book, which allows you to have a list, grouped in a personalized way, of all remote computers and devices. The address book allows you to start a remote desktop session with a single click and without having to specify any password (of course you must be authenticated in the program and it is however possible to set a mandatory password for each device to which you want to connect), thus offering great fluidity of use for technicians who assist a large customer base.

In this very simple tutorial you will see how to add a remote device or computer to your address book. Unlike Iperius Remote 3, where it was necessary to have the “Client Account” saved into Iperius on the remote computer, with Iperius Remote 4 things are much simpler: just connect to the remote computer for the first time and add it to the address book. Let’s see how to do it with a simple image:

As you can see, just click a simple button in the toolbar on the right and the remote computer will be immediately available in your address book.

In the address book it will then be possible to add that computer to a specific group and assign it specific permissions. All this can be done from the Iperius Remote administrative area, at the following address: https://remote.iperius.com. Permissions are very important, as they allow you to set up viewing and connection on specific computers only to specific operators. For each remote computer it will also be possible to set a further custom security password, which will be requested at each connection.
